I am a 58 year old male. I live in Auckland, New Zealand, I have three adult children and six beautiful grandchildren. I have always had a zest for life and the desire to have good health, however, as I’ve gotten older I let my health slip. Two years ago I was diagnosed with high blood pressure for the very first time and my weight ballooned to over 157Kg’s. I was at high risk of becoming diabetic and I could feel the impact of my weight on my joints.

About six months ago (please change for accuracy) I heard about Arrianna’s assisted journeys for bariatric surgery. I followed her journey as she searched for the best clinics around the world. I was impressed with her desire to find options that would not be cost prohibitive for kiwi’s, as the cost for private care in Aotearoa is beyond the ability of most New Zealanders.

Arrianna found a clinic and a surgeon in Istanbul with world class qualifications, travelled to the destination and underwent the surgery. Her experience and results were amazing so I decided to embark on the same journey and promptly signed up for Arrianna’s October 2023 Assisted journey.
